This work is funded through a multi-year grant from the Ontario Research Fund: Research Excellence, for the project There's an App for That.

The project is led by Janette Hughes (UOIT), with Joanne Arcand (UOIT), Chris Collins (UOIT), George Gadanidis (Western) & Immaculate Namukasa (Western).

EduApps is a suite of apps housed in an online environment that focuses on the health, well-being and development of one’s mind, body and community. Our research project is investigating the design process, development, implementation and evaluation of this suite of educational apps. Specifically, we are interested in helping students build confidence and competence in the cognitive, socio-emotional and physical domains.

This work has also been supported by a SSHRC Partnership Development Grant on Computational Thinking in Mathematics Education, a SSHRC Insight Grant on Aesthetic Experiences for Young Mathematicians & their Teachers, and the KNAER Mathematics Knowledge Network.
